Athlete Registration Now Open as Toronto Prepares to Welcome the World
Vaughan, ON – [August 20, 2025] – The countdown has begun. In August 2026, Toronto will proudly host more than 2,000 Jewish teen athletes from around the world for the JCC Maccabi Games - a week-long celebration of athletic excellence, Jewish pride, and global community.
“Today, we are excited to launch of the official JCC Maccabi Games Toronto 2026 website,” said Andrew Levy, Executive Director Schwarts/Reisman Centre and Prosserman JCC. “The site will serve as the central hub for athlete registration, volunteer opportunities, and countless ways for our community to Rise To The Occasion and be part of this historic moment.”
Athlete registration for tryouts is now officially open. Eligible teens are encouraged to sign up early to secure their chance to represent Toronto in this once-in-a-generation experience.
The 2026 Games are made possible thanks to the generous support of Presenting Sponsors, the Azrieli Foundation and The Prosserman Family, whose commitment will help create an extraordinary experience for every athlete and family. With community partners at the City of Vaughan, the city is preparing to showcase world-class venues and warm hospitality to welcome the global Jewish community.

The JCC Maccabi Games are recognized as the world’s largest Jewish youth sporting event, combining Olympic-style competition with cultural and social experiences that strengthen Jewish identity and foster unity across borders.
